Public EV chargers can be a great option for charging your vehicle but driving out to the chargers set for public use can sometimes be a chore. Sometimes they are already in use by other vehicles and driving out to them can take time. Luckily there are several options for charging your electric vehicle at home. The first option is a level 1 charger and this option can plug directly into a normal wall outlet. Level 1 chargers are good for getting by but will not produce a very fast charge.
The second option is a level 2 charger which can provide you faster charge. Depending on your vehicle you could reach a full charge in 4-6 hours. Level 2 chargers do require an experienced electrician to come out and install. Once you have a level 2 ev charger you won’t have to worry about losing charge driving to a charging station or having to pay at commercial charging stations. Having a level 2 charger should costs pennies a day and provide you with a fast and safe way to charge your electric vehicle.
